Although I never had the opportunity to pursue formal training in art, my passion for painting was ignited during my childhood. However, when I entered university, I had a different vision in mind and aspired to become a teacher. This aspiration persisted for quite some time, until I successfully completed a programming program at a reputable institution in Bucharest.
Following my graduation, an unexpected turn of events led me to a small village, where I found myself teaching programming at a middle school. Due to a shortage of staff, I was also tasked with teaching art and math, which broadened my range of subjects. It was during these early years in the village that I had the privilege of contributing to the beautification of the local church, dedicating my time and effort to painting its interior and exterior. This endeavor not only enhanced the aesthetic appeal of the church but also earned me recognition and admiration from the nearby priests, establishing a positive reputation within the community.
For the next 23 years, I dedicated myself to the role of a middle school teacher, diligently imparting knowledge while pursuing my passion for painting through custom commissions during my leisure time. However, as time went on, I felt a growing sense of disillusionment and weariness towards the educational system we were bound to adhere to.
Motivated by the desire for change and better prospects in teaching art, I made the decision to enroll in another university, this time joining the art program. My intention was to acquire more opportunities to inspire and guide students in the realm of artistic expression. Unexpectedly, my experience within the educational system left me feeling increasingly fatigued and disheartened. Consequently, I made the courageous choice to relinquish my teaching position and embark on a full-time career as a painter.
With a renewed focus on pursuing my artistic calling, I seized the opportunity to further my skills and knowledge by enrolling in one of Romania's most esteemed art universities. This educational journey provided me with the necessary foundation and mentorship to refine my craft, ultimately graduating with distinction.
Thus, my path in life took a winding trajectory, from a childhood love for painting to a detour into teaching and programming, and finally culminating in a passionate commitment to a full-time career as a professional artist.
